Measuring Success

Some School Choice children start in their new school behind in all academic areas.  Our goal is for each child to achieve grade level in both reading and math within three years of joining our program.  We support educational achievement by:

  • Scheduling regular school visits
  • Surveying parents twice yearly
  • Providing a family program to get to know the School Choice parents 
  • Accessing report cards and standardized test results from participating schools
  • Partnering with the University of Kentucky’s School of Public Policy and Administration to evaluate 2010-2013 test data from 400 School Choice scholarship recipients
